Moot Court II

Moot Court II is the second half of Bilkent Law's Vis Moot track, where you take the case file you researched in the fall and turn it into a working arbitration practice — drafting the respondent memorandum under the CISG and arbitration rules, then defending it orally in English before mock tribunals. Most of the semester is spent preparing the respondent brief, polishing it for submission, and running repeated oral rounds that culminate in the actual international competition. The course assumes you've already done Moot Court I and are comfortable with sales law and arbitration doctrine; its real payoff is learning to think and argue on your feet in English legal terminology, which is the closest thing law school offers to genuine litigation practice.
