Advanced Engineering Thermodynamics

Graduate-level thermo that pushes past the undergrad cycles-and-tables view into where thermodynamic properties actually come from — Maxwell relations and property derivations on the classical side, then partition functions, quantum states, and statistical distributions on the microscopic side. Expect homework sets, two midterms, and a term project where you'll connect molecular structure (translational, rotational, vibrational modes) to bulk properties like heat capacities, equilibrium constants, and combustion behavior. It's the bridge between ME 302 and serious work in combustion, propulsion, or materials, and the reason you can predict a gas mixture's behavior from first principles instead of looking it up.
