This is a graduate-level treatment of macroeconomics built around dynamic optimization: instead of the IS-LM-style reasoning of undergrad courses, you model economies as agents solving intertemporal problems and trace how competitive equilibria evolve, fluctuate, and grow over time. Expect heavy work with dynamic programming, optimal control, and Solow/Ramsey/OLG frameworks through problem sets, a midterm, and a final, with Acemoglu and Stokey-Lucas as the workhorses.
