International Logistics

International Logistics looks at how goods actually move across borders and why that movement is inseparable from the political and economic relationships you study elsewhere in IR — supply chains, Incoterms, payment terms, and transport modes are the concrete machinery behind the trade flows that shape state behavior. You'll work through the operational side of foreign trade (contracts, documentation, insurance, ocean/air/land transport) and produce a research paper tying these mechanics back to international relations. It's a useful complement to international political economy courses: where those explain why states trade, this explains how the trade physically happens and where it breaks.
