This course aims to familiarize students with research on management and organization. While seminal papers in the field are introduced, major theories about the effective management of people and organizations will be covered during classes. Topics include individual and team dynamics in organizations, leadership, motivation, decision-making, organizational design, innovation and competitive strategy. After the course, students will have a broader understanding of the major perspectives, theories and methods eminent in the research related to management and organizations. As the major topics are reviewed, students will discover their particular interest to conduct their research projects for their graduation theses.
