This is a hands-on graduate course in functional MRI methodology — how brain imaging data actually gets from the scanner to a publishable result, and how to judge whether that result means anything. You'll design and run small block and event-related experiments, then work through the full pipeline yourself: BIDS organization, preprocessing, first- and second-level GLMs, ROI and parametric analyses, and finally multivariate approaches like RSA and MVPA. It's aimed at students who want to run their own neuroimaging research, so the goal isn't just reading fMRI papers critically but reaching the point where you could plausibly start collecting and analyzing your own data by the end.
