C# Programming in the .NET Framework

CTIS 479 takes the OOP foundations you already have and applies them to building a real, layered web application in ASP.NET Core MVC with C# and Entity Framework. Across the semester you incrementally construct one project end-to-end: defining entities and a Code First database, wiring a business layer with dependency injection, then scaffolding controllers and views for CRUD over one-to-many and many-to-many relationships, finishing with authentication, authorization, and session management. It is essentially the bridge between knowing a language like Java or C++ and shipping production-style enterprise web software, which is why the grade leans heavily on projects rather than exams.

Creation and explanation of the Business layer using model and service classes. Introduction to Dependency Injection.

Completion of the model and service classes in the Business layer and creation of the Web Application layer.

Introduction to scaffolding in MVC and managing CRUD operations by injecting necessary services and implementing all necessary controller actions, views, then managing Inversion of Control (IoC).

Introduction to the usage of partial views, server-side and client-side validation and third party Javascript-CSS libraries.

Hafta 9

Finishing the development of the project with one to many database relationship CRUD operations.

Modification of the models and services in the Business layer for many to many relationships.

Finishing the development of the project with the addition of many to many database relationship CRUD operations.

Introduction to the user authentication and authorization with ASP.NET Core MVC.
