Semester Internship

A full semester spent inside a real IT or software department, where the classroom finally gets replaced by actual deadlines, actual codebases, and actual coworkers who don't grade on a curve. You work on-site for the term while staying tethered to the department through five follow-up assignments, an interim check-in, a final report, and a jury that defends what you did and learned. It sits at the spring of third year because it assumes you can already build things; the point now is to see how computing work behaves under business constraints, team dynamics, and professional expectations before you graduate into them full-time.
