The capstone of the ELIT degree, where you spend a semester proving you can sustain a single ambitious project from blank page to polished submission under one faculty supervisor's guidance. Depending on your interests, that project might be an academic paper, a translation, a creative writing manuscript, a staged performance, or an annotated bibliography, the form varies, but the rhythm is the same: reading and preparation, first draft, feedback, revision, full draft, more feedback, final submission. It's less about learning new content than synthesizing four years of literary training into something that's recognizably yours, which is why employers and grad programs actually care what you produced here.
