Interior Design: Professional Practice

Senior-year capstone-adjacent course that shifts focus from designing interiors to running the business of designing them — contracts, bidding documents, quantity surveying, office structures, codes, and the legal/ethical machinery a licensed practitioner actually navigates. Most of the work happens through case-driven discussions, a midterm, and a final jury project where you build out the professional documentation for a hypothetical commission. Coming right before graduation, it's the bridge between studio-bred design instincts and walking into an office (or starting your own) without getting blindsided by client relations, pricing, or governmental requirements.
