This is where interior architecture stops being about rooms and starts being about the objects inside them — specifically, how a piece of furniture or a modular system actually gets built, joint by joint, from a material someone has to source and a process someone has to schedule. The semester runs as a studio: a short sketch problem and a field-trip report warm you up, then a term project carries you from concept through working drawings, with pre-jury and final reviews where you're expected to defend not just the form but the joinery, tolerances, and production sequence. Coming after the earlier IAED studios that taught you to think spatially, this one closes the loop before graduation by forcing the detail-level decisions that determine whether a design can be mass-produced at all, which is the language you'll need when you start coordinating with fabricators in practice.
