This is where Maxwell's equations stop being four lines you memorize and start doing real work: you treat them as the dynamical theory they actually are and follow the consequences out to waves, waveguides, radiation from accelerating charges, and ultimately the relativistic structure underneath the whole thing. Expect problem-set heavy weeks out of Griffiths, two midterms, and a final, with the homework doing most of the conceptual lifting between lectures. It picks up directly where the electrostatics/magnetostatics semester left off and feeds into everything later — optics, quantum mechanics, solid state, and especially the field-theory courses where the Lorentz-covariant view introduced at the end becomes the default language.
