Quantum Mechanics I

This is where physics stops being intuitive: instead of tracking particles along trajectories, you learn to describe them as wavefunctions evolving under the Schrödinger equation, with measurement outcomes that are inherently probabilistic. You'll spend the semester solving 1D problems (wells, barriers, the harmonic oscillator), then graduating to operator methods, Dirac notation, and the 3D hydrogen atom — mostly through pencil-and-paper problem sets out of Griffiths, with two midterms and a final. Built on your modern physics and differential equations background, this course is the gateway to QM II, statistical mechanics, solid state, and essentially every upper-division physics elective.
