The follow-up to PHYS 541, this course pushes Maxwell's equations into the regimes where they get genuinely hard: fields that radiate, charges moving near c, and matter that responds back through plasma and MHD effects. You'll spend the semester working through Jackson, waveguides, multipole radiation, scattering, relativistic dynamics, bremsstrahlung, and the self-field problems that haunt any honest treatment of a point charge, with problem sets, a presentation, and two midterms anchoring the work. It's the capstone of undergraduate E&M and the language you need before QFT, accelerator physics, or anything astrophysical where radiation matters.
