ARCH 418 is where the studio bubble meets the actual profession: how architectural work gets commissioned, contracted, built, paid for, and defended when something goes wrong. Instead of designing another building, you spend the semester in seminars, debates, and guest lectures with practicing architects, plus workshops that push you to sharpen your portfolio and CV and draft real contract and bidding scenarios. Coming after four years of design studios, it's the bridge into licensure and early practice — the course that turns "I can design this" into "I know who owes whom what, and on what legal footing."
