Technology Society and Professional Development Seminar

GE 304 is the senior-year seminar that pulls you out of the technical bubble and forces you to think about engineering as something that happens inside a society, with laws, ethics, markets, environmental stakes, and career paths attached. The format is light by design: you show up each week to a talk by someone from industry, government, an NGO, or academia, and attendance is essentially the whole grade. It's a 1-credit graduation requirement meant to round out four years of problem sets with the kind of context you'll actually need once you're the engineer in the room.
