Innovative Design and Entrepreneurship I

GE 401 drops you into a simulated startup: your team pitches an idea, gets it endorsed (or you leave the course), and then spends the semester pushing it from concept toward a demonstrable product. The work is project-driven rather than exam-driven, you'll write a business plan, file patent paperwork, build a corporate identity and web presence, run QFD on requirements, and present progress to instructors and visiting entrepreneurs across labs, reports, and demos. It's the senior-year capstone half that pairs engineering judgment with the commercial side, and it feeds directly into GE 402, where the prototype actually has to work.
