Advanced Photography

This course pushes you past point-and-shoot fundamentals into the deliberate craft of producing professional images, treating photography as a controlled pipeline from camera choice through lighting, processing, and final print. You'll shoot with medium and large format gear, develop and scan your own B&W film in the darkroom, run studio lighting setups for still-life and advertising work, and deliver a term project alongside ongoing lab assignments. The split focus on both analogue darkroom workflow and digital scanning/processing is the point: by the end you understand why a tonal decision made under an enlarger and one made in software are the same decision, which is what separates a technician from someone who can actually art-direct an image.
