Motion Graphics is where graphic design starts moving, you take the visual vocabulary you already know (type, shape, composition) and learn to choreograph it across time, with sound and pacing as new variables. The semester is built almost entirely around three studio projects in After Effects, starting with a "Word as Image" kinetic typography piece and escalating to fuller compositions involving masks, shape morphing, parenting, and mixed vector/raster workflows. It sits as the bridge between static GRA studio work and anything time-based you'll do later (title sequences, UI motion, video work), so the real takeaway is learning to think about a design as a sequence of frames rather than a single layout.

Students are expected to attend all class hours and to arrive on time. Students having 9 hours-absences will receive "Attendance and Participation 15%" grade as "0 (zero)". Additionally, students exceeding 12 hours-absences will receive “FZ” grade before the final exams begin. Official valid excuses are going to be accepted. Required Software: Adobe After Effects is going to be taught in class. On the contrary, the beginner level of Adobe Illustrator knowledge is particularly required.
