A graduate pro-seminar that treats Anatolian archaeology as a meeting point of many sub-fields rather than a single chronological narrative, with a different faculty member each week framing the questions, sources, and methods that drive their period or theme—from Neolithic prehistory through Byzantium, plus cross-cutting tools like epigraphy, ethnoarchaeology, and ceramic analysis. You read the weekly bibliography, take part in the discussion, produce three homework assignments and a poster, and sit a final, so most of the work is learning to navigate scholarly literature and present arguments cleanly. It functions as an orientation course for incoming MA/PhD students, giving you the map you need before committing to a thesis topic or a more specialized seminar.
