Graduate-level entry into reading classical Latin from scratch, the goal is to build enough morphological grounding (declensions, conjugations, the case system) that you can start parsing real sentences rather than just memorizing paradigms. You'll work through Wheelock chapter by chapter with weekly homework drilling forms and short translations, plus a quiz, midterm, and final to consolidate everything. It's aimed at archaeology and humanities grads who need Latin as a research tool for inscriptions, manuscripts, and secondary scholarship, so the payoff is access to primary sources, Latin II picks up where this leaves off with the subjunctive and more complex syntax.
