The capstone of Bilkent's three-semester Ancient Greek sequence, this course closes out the grammar and vocabulary work begun in I and II so you can finally read continuous classical prose on your own rather than parsing one sentence at a time. You'll work through the second half of Athenaze, with the weekly rhythm built around eight quizzes, five homework sets, and active in-class translation, leaning on Morwood's grammar and the Pocket Oxford lexicon as references. By the end you should be able to sit down with an unadapted passage and analyze its syntax confidently — the prerequisite skill for any serious philology, classical archaeology, or ancient-history research that follows.
