Teaching Project in IE and OR

IE 489 flips you to the other side of the classroom: you take core IE/OR material you've already learned, LP, integer programming, simplex, duality, sensitivity analysis, networks, and design practice sessions that teach those ideas to younger students. The work is iterative and hands-on, cycling through preparation and conduction of eight practices, with a learning portfolio capturing what you tried and what landed. Teaching forces a sharper grasp of the methods than solving problems ever does, which is the real point of treating this as an independent study rather than another lecture course.
