Systems Design - Synthesis

IE 478 is the second half of the senior capstone, where the solution you designed in the fall stops being a proposal and has to actually work inside a real company. You spend the semester validating your model, benchmarking it against the current system to prove the gains are real, then writing an implementation plan with your industry partner and executing it, all while juggling weekly team deliverables, company presentations, and the run-up to the Project Fair. It is the moment your four years of IE training get judged by someone who has to keep the lights on after you graduate.
