This is the capstone of the Vertical Studio sequence, where you take everything from four years of urban design and landscape work and apply it to a real city as a graduation-scale project. You'll spend the semester embedded in studio: site visits, group analysis of a selected city's texture and demographics, then individual design proposals that get hammered through desk critiques, panel reviews, sketch problems, and three juries before final submission. Because you're working alongside the 202 and 302 cohorts in the vertical format, expect to defend your scheme to younger students and external jurors alike, which is essentially the rehearsal for professional practice that follows.
