Ear Training II is about wiring your ear directly to musical syntax — hearing a chord, cadence, or modulation and knowing what it is before you think about it, and conversely turning what you hear into accurate notation on the page. Each week you alternate between solfège (sight-singing across the do clefs, self-accompanied lines, intonation and rhythm drills) and dictation, working up to three-part, 16-measure passages with mixed rhythms and agogic accents, while the theory side covers seventh and dominant-seventh resolutions, common-chord modulation, and cadence analysis. It's the second half of the foundational aural sequence, and the fluency you build here is what later harmony, counterpoint, and performance courses quietly assume you already have.
