This is the hands-on follow-up to introductory networking, built around the second half of Cisco's CCNA 7 track: you spend the semester actually configuring switches, routers, and wireless access points rather than just reasoning about them in the abstract. Most of your time goes to Packet Tracer labs and chapter assessments on NetAcad, working through VLANs and inter-VLAN routing, spanning tree, EtherChannel, DHCP, FHRPs, WLAN setup, and static routing, capped by a Packet Tracer lab exam. It's the course where the OSI-layer theory from earlier networking classes turns into muscle memory with the CLI, and it's what makes CCNA-style job interviews and later security or sysadmin electives feasible.

A student who will fail to collect a total of 20 points out of 54 from the weighted average of the Midterm Exam (25%), Homework (9%), Online Chapter Assessments (5%) and Packet Tracer Exam (15%) will get FZ grade i.e., he/she will be not be eligible to take the Final Exam and must repeat the course.
