Hospitality Industry Computerization

This is essentially a hands-on lab course where you learn to run a hotel front office through OPERA, the property management system used across most of the real industry. You'll spend the semester inside a simulated property working the full guest cycle — building reservations and profiles, checking guests in, posting charges and payments at the cashier, and closing the day — with the bulk of your grade coming from practical skill exams rather than written ones. It sits in the CTIS hospitality track as the bridge between general MIS concepts and the domain-specific software you'd actually touch in a front-desk or systems role at a hotel chain.
