Principles of Macroeconomics

Where ECON 107 zooms in on individual buyers and firms, this course pulls the camera back to the whole economy: how GDP, inflation, unemployment, and interest rates are determined, and what the central bank and government can actually do when things go wrong. You'll work through aggregate demand/supply models, money and banking mechanics, and open-economy adjustments, mostly via written problems and three essay-style exams tied to current events. It's the macro half of the freshman economics core, and the framework you'll lean on in later courses on money, growth, and international finance.
