Where ECON 101 zoomed in on individual buyers and firms, this one pulls the camera back to ask why whole economies grow, slump, inflate, or run trade deficits — and what central banks and governments can actually do about it. You'll work through the standard toolkit (Solow growth, IS/LM, AS/AD, Phillips curve) via a homework set, lectures, and two written exams, with Turkish economic episodes used as the running case study. It's a required Spring follow-up to ECON 101 and the conceptual base for nearly every later course in money, growth, and international economics, so the models you meet here keep reappearing.
