This course steps back from any single national system and asks what an internationally coherent primary curriculum actually looks like, using the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge Primary, and top-performing OECD systems as the main reference points to study against Turkey's MEB framework. You'll spend the semester comparing curricular structures, unpacking the PYP's transdisciplinary inquiry model, and producing two projects plus an essay that culminate in designing your own inquiry-based learning experience. It sits alongside the broader curriculum and program-development track in the Basic Education degree, giving you the comparative lens you'll need before practicum, when you have to justify why a lesson is built one way and not another.
