Information and Instructional Technologies

EDU 201 is about learning to think like a designer of instruction: choosing, building, and judging digital materials through pedagogical frameworks (SAMR, TPACK, PICRAT) and learning theories rather than chasing whatever tool is trendy. You'll spend the semester producing concrete artifacts — concept maps, infographics, a lesson video, a digital story, a small AR activity — that accumulate into a portfolio and a field-specific resource repository, with a midterm anchoring the theory side. As a second-year required course in the Faculty of Education, it bridges foundational pedagogy with the methods and practicum work ahead, where you'll actually deploy these materials in classrooms.
