Basics of Signals and Systems

EEE 391 is where you learn to think about the world in two languages at once: time and frequency. You'll move between sinusoids, phasors, and Fourier/z-transforms to analyze how LTI systems reshape signals, with the heavy lifting happening in two MATLAB-style projects plus a quiz and standard written exams. It's the gateway to everything signal-flavored in EE — communications, control, DSP, image processing — so the convolution and sampling intuition you build here is what later courses quietly assume you already own.
