Decision Analysis

Managerial choices rarely come with clean inputs, stakeholders disagree, outcomes are uncertain, and our own cognition quietly distorts what looks rational. This MBA elective trains you to recognize those distortions and to structure decisions accordingly, blending descriptive work on heuristics and biases with prescriptive tools for risk, hedging, and group judgment. You'll work through cases like Google's culture problem, Apache's hedging strategy, and the Equator Principles, then write an essay that puts the frameworks to use. Think of it as the methodological layer sitting underneath the finance, strategy, and operations courses you take alongside it.
