Senior studio where you commit to your own direction in fine arts rather than working through assigned exercises — the year is built around producing three substantial projects across different media (sculpture, ceramics, painting/printmaking) that together form a coherent body of work. Most weeks are studio time with sketches, maquettes, and ongoing critique, punctuated by two prejuries and a final jury where faculty assess where the work is heading. This is the capstone of the studio sequence, so the focus shifts from learning techniques to developing a personal artistic voice you can defend, which feeds directly into FA 402 and your graduation portfolio.
