Special Topics in Interior Design II

This is a special-topics elective built around how designers actually think — concept formation, the reflective practice of moving from idea to spatial response, and the sensory/phenomenological grounding behind it (Lawson, Schön, Pallasmaa, Zumthor). You'll read and discuss those texts, then carry a single term project through research, presentation, and application critiques alongside campus site work and a guest lecture, with assessment driven mostly by sustained studio participation rather than exams. It sits parallel to the main studio sequence as a chance to sharpen the conceptual layer of your design process before it has to carry weight in graduation-level work.
