Art, Science and Technology

A graduate seminar that treats art, science, and technology as three faces of the same human activity rather than separate disciplines, drawing on Simon, Mitcham, and behavioral research methodology to ask how people make, know, and value things. You'll engage primarily through reading, presentations, and a research proposal you build across the semester, with VR and AI threaded in as data-collection and analysis tools rather than ends in themselves. It's a methods-and-philosophy course meant to give designers the conceptual vocabulary and research literacy needed before committing to a thesis direction.
