Statistics for Social Sciences

Statistics built for people who'll spend their careers reasoning about survey data, polls, and social experiments rather than physics labs, the goal is learning to move from a messy spreadsheet to a defensible claim about a population. You'll work through descriptive summaries, probability, and the standard inferential machinery (sampling distributions, confidence intervals, one-sample hypothesis tests), with homework and exam problems backed by McGraw-Hill CONNECT and some software practice. It's the quantitative backbone for econ, psych, and IR electives downstream, and the place where terms like p-value and Central Limit Theorem stop being jargon and start being tools you actually use.
