Mechanical Engineering Design II

ME 482 is the second half of the senior capstone, where you take the concept your team developed in ME 481 and actually build it — fabricating parts, integrating components, and testing whether the thing meets the spec you wrote for yourselves. Most of the work happens outside lecture: team meetings, advisor and industry interviews, progress presentations, and two formal reports tracking the project from prototype to working product. It's the course where the analysis, manufacturing, and design knowledge from earlier ME courses finally has to converge into something that runs, and the deliverables (final presentation, booklet, video) are essentially what you'll show employers as proof you can ship hardware.
