MSC 931 is essentially a one-on-one apprenticeship in which a non-music major continues serious instrumental study under a Bilkent faculty mentor, treating the instrument as a long-term craft rather than a side hobby. You meet weekly for individual lessons, log substantial private practice, and demonstrate progress through a jury exam where a panel of faculty hears and evaluates your playing. As the fifth semester in the sequence, it assumes you are already past beginner technique from earlier MSC levels, and it matters because it lets engineering, business, or science students keep a real performance discipline alive alongside their main degree.
