Selected Topics in Cognitive Psychology

A senior seminar where a faculty member takes you deep into one slice of cognitive psychology they actively research — in practice, this rotation centers on language and developmental cognition, spanning early acquisition, reading and dyslexia, working memory, and atypical profiles like ADHD, autism, and DLD. You'll read primary literature, sit with real datasets the instructor or collaborators have collected, and present your own analysis rather than sit through standard lectures, with participation as the sole grade. It's a capstone-style course meant to bridge the gap between coursework and graduate-level research, so come ready to argue about methods and interpretation, not memorize findings.
