Reflecting a growing emphasis on practices of everyday life in the study of contemporary societies, identities, and political movements, examination of the entanglements of ordinary people with various media from an anthropological perspective. Drawing on ethnographically informed, historically grounded, and context-specific case studies, exploration of how people use and make sense of media texts and communication technologies in daily life, with a particular focus on the aesthetics and politics of the everyday.
