Introduction to Programming

CTIS 151 is where you learn to think like a programmer: taking a vague problem, breaking it into precise steps, and translating those steps into C code a machine can actually run. Expect weekly labs and lab exams where you write small programs from scratch under time pressure, plus a midterm and final that test whether you can read code, trace its behavior, and debug it. It assumes no prior coding background and lays the groundwork for everything else in the CTIS track — data structures, object-oriented programming, and later systems courses all assume you walked out of here fluent in loops, conditionals, functions, and pointers.
