Applied Econometrics

Where the intro econometrics course teaches you what OLS *is*, this one drops you into Stata with real datasets and asks you to actually answer questions with it — picking the right tool (panel FE, IV, logit/probit, diff-in-diff, event study) for the messy data in front of you, not just the textbook example. You'll spend the semester reproducing published empirical papers, writing up estimation reports every two weeks, and ultimately proposing and presenting your own extension of an existing study. It's the bridge between knowing econometric theory and being able to do credible applied work, which is why it's effectively required prep for a senior thesis, an empirical RA position, or any economics graduate program.
