Third-semester studio work where you commit to a single fine-arts medium—ceramics in this section—and run three independent projects from sketch through critique to finished piece. Most weeks are bench time: you develop work in the studio, bring it to individual and group tutorials, and learn to defend and revise your choices out loud, with a portfolio review at the end. It builds directly on the foundational studio sequence and is where the sketching-and-critiquing habits you've been drilling start producing work you'd actually show, preparing you for the more autonomous senior-year studios.
