Visual Narrative is about telling stories through pictures in sequence — learning how panels, framing, and the rhythm between text and image carry meaning the way prose does in writing. You'll spend most of the semester in studio working through four projects that walk you from short exercises into character development, storyboarding, and a full story arc, anchored by readings from Eisner and McCloud and a detour through manga. It pulls together drawing, design, and writing skills from earlier studios and feeds directly into illustration, animation, and graphic novel work, which is where a lot of the regional creative industry is actually hiring.
