Creative Constructs:Conceptual 3D Design

This course pairs 3D modeling skill with the design thinking process, so the software isn't the point — it's the tool you use to give form to an idea you've actually reasoned through. You move a term project through the full empathize–define–ideate–prototype–implement cycle, while parallel technical sessions build up the modeling, lighting, camera, and material skills you need to render the result convincingly. Coming out of a foundation course like FA 106 or COMD 102, it's where you stop making things that just look good and start defending why they look that way, which is the habit the rest of the graphic design studio sequence assumes you have.
