You'll produce weekly homework in a notation software like Dorico (working through Gould's Behind Bars), wrestle with parametric decoupling and prescriptive-vs-descriptive choices, and build toward a project where part preparation and idiomatic writing for real instruments actually matter. Expect this to be the foundation for any later composition, orchestration, or score-prep work you do, since unreadable notation kills even good music in rehearsal.
