A continuation of MSC 107, this is the second semester of one-on-one instrument lessons offered as a university-wide elective for non-music majors who pass the entrance audition. You meet weekly with a faculty instructor on your chosen instrument — flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, or others — working through assigned repertoire and building the technique, practice discipline, and listening habits of the classical tradition. It's a low-credit but real time commitment outside class: daily practice is what actually moves you forward, and the course rewards students who treat it as a long-term skill rather than a checkbox elective.
