MSC 403 is the seventh semester of ensemble playing, where the real work of being a musician happens — not learning repertoire in the abstract, but rehearsing it weekly with other players until a program is ready to put in front of an audience. Depending on your major you'll land in the Youth Symphony, the chorus, or a project-based ensemble, working through Baroque-to-contemporary literature toward a final concert. By this point the technical fundamentals from earlier studio work are assumed; the focus shifts to blend, intonation in context, following a conductor, and the discipline of being one voice inside a larger sound.
